Cherry Walnut Rice Pilaf

Fun, fruity, nutty and delicious!

Ingredients:

1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup dried tart cherries
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
1 tablespoon chopped fresh marjoram
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon butter
3 cups cooked rice

Directions:

  1. Combine chopped onion, celery, cherries, walnuts, thyme, marjoram, pepper and butter in a large nonstick skillet.
  2. Bring skillet to medium heat. Cook for about 10 minutes, stir occasionally.
  3. Add rice to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  4. Spoon rice pilaf on serving plates and enjoy.
