Seasoned Blackened Salmon

This dish is restaurant-level good.

Ingredients:

2 teaspoons sea salt
1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
2 tablespoons ground paprika
1 tablespoon ground cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon onion powder
4 salmon fillets, skin and bones removed
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Directions:

  1. Combine sea salt, white pepper, black pepper, thyme, basil, oregano, paprika, cayenne pepper and onion powder in a small bowl.
  2. Brush salmon fillets on both sides with half of the melted butter. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over the salmon. Drizzle one side of each fillet with half of the remaining melted butter.
  3. Bring a large skillet to high heat. Once hot, place the salmon into the skillet with the butter side down. Pour the last of the butter over the salmon and cook until blackened. Turn the salmon over and cook until blackened.
