Easy Mongolian Beef





Serves 4 |
A sweet and spicy classic.
Ingredients:
| 1 lb. flank steak, sliced very thin, cut in 2" strips |
| 2 tablespoons soy sauce |
| 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce |
| 1 tablespoon rice wine |
| 1 tablespoon cornstarch |
| 1 teaspoon sugar |
| 2 tablespoons peanut oil |
| 1 clove garlic, minced |
| 1/4 teaspoon minced ginger |
| 1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes |
| Prepared rice, for serving |
Directions:
- Marinate the flank steak in a mixture of the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice wine, cornstarch, and sugar for about 1 hour.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the peanut oil on medium-high. Add the garlic, ginger, and pepper seeds and stir fry a minute or so.
- Add the meat and cook for 3-5 minutes.
- Serve with rice.
