Braised Corned Beef Brisket

Serves 6 | 
Ultra tender and incredibly flavorful.

Ingredients:

5 lb corned beef brisket
1 tablespoon browning sauce, more if needed
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 onion, sliced
6 cloves garlic, sliced
2 tablespoons water

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 275° F.
  2. Brush entire brisket with browning sauce.
  3. Pour vegetable oil into a large skillet. Place brisket in skillet. Bring skillet to medium-high heat. Brown brisket on both sides. About 5-8 minutes per side.
  4. Transfer brisket to a roasting pan. Place onion slices and sliced garlic onto the brisket. Add water, cover brisket with aluminum foil and place into the oven.
  5. Roast brisket for six hours.
