Creamy and Spicy Avocado Hummus

A yummy alternative to the classic.

Ingredients:

1 avocado, peeled and cut into cubes
1 can chickpeas, drained, 15 oz.
1 clove garlic, peeled
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
3 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt
1 jalapeno, seeded and chopped
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 tablespoon fresh dill
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1 tablespoon water

Directions:

  1. Place avocado, chickpeas, garlic, olive oil, and lime juice in a food processor. Pulse until smooth. Then add the Greek yogurt, jalapeno, onion powder, dill, cumin, and water to the food processor. Pulse until smooth.
  2. Transfer the avocado hummus to a serving bowl. Serve with fresh veggies, pita or crackers.
