Simple yet oh so delicious.

Ingredients:

1 lb boneless center-cut pork chop filets
Kosher salt, to taste
Ground black pepper, to taste
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 apples, cored and sliced, your preference
7 1/2 oz apple butter
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/3 cup heavy cream

Directions:

  1. Season both sides of each pork chop with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium-high heat in a large skillet. Once hot, add the pork chops and cook for 3 minutes per side. Transfer the pork chops to a plate.
  3. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter to the skillet. Place the apple slices in the skillet. Cook and stir for about 5 minutes, until the apples are soft. Pour in the apple butter, brown sugar, and chili powder. Stir to coat the apples. Then pour in the heavy cream. Cook and stir until just boiling.
  4. Push the apples to the side of the skillet and return the pork chops. Spoon the sauce over the pork chops and cook for about 4 minutes per side, occasionally spooning the sauce over top.
  5. Transfer the pork chops and apples to serving plates. Pour any remaining sauce from the skillet over the pork chops and apples. Enjoy!
