Did you know that Buffalo wings can be traced back to 1964 to Anchor Bar in Buffalo, New York? The story goes, Teressa Bellissimo, owner of the bar, decided to make a late-night snack. Instead of removing the chicken from the bones for the next day’s soup, she chose to deep fry chicken wings, coat them in butter and toss the wings in her homemade sauce.
