Homemade Coleslaw with Apple Slices

Serves 4 |
Highly flavorful with a nice tangy finish.
Ingredients:
2 cups shredded red cabbage |
2 cups shredded green cabbage |
1/4 cup sour cream |
1/2 cup mayonnaise |
2 tablespoons cider vinegar |
1/2 teaspoon celery seed |
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt |
1/8 teaspoon black pepper |
1 Gala apple, cored, quartered, and sliced thin |
Directions:
- Combine the red and green cabbages in a large bowl then set aside.
- Place sour cream, mayonnaise, vinegar, celery seed, salt and black pepper in a mixing bowl. Whisk ingredients together until they are well combined.
- Add apple slices to bowl.
- Pour sour cream mixture over the cabbage then lightly toss to coat.
- Cover with plastic wrap and chill for at least 1 hour. Spoon coleslaw into serving bowls and enjoy.
