Oven Baked Beef Stew





Serves 8 |
This classic dish just got a whole lot tastier!
Ingredients:
| 2 lb stew meat |
| 1 onion, coarsely chopped |
| 3 stalks celery, coarsely chopped |
| 3 carrots, coarsely chopped |
| 1 can diced tomatoes, undrained, 15 oz. |
| 1 can tomato sauce, 8 oz. |
| 1 can beef broth, 10.5 oz. |
| 1 teaspoon salt |
| 1/2 teaspoon pepper |
| 1 teaspoon dried marjoram leaves |
| 4 red potatoes, cubed |
| 2 cups sliced mushrooms |
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 325° F.
- Combine stew meat, onion, celery, carrots, tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, marjoram leaves, salt and pepper in a Dutch oven. Place top on and bake for 2 hours.
- Take out Dutch oven and stir in red potatoes and mushrooms. Place top on and bake for an additional 90 minutes.
