Gingersnap Pear Crisp





Serves 6 |
A fun and tasty way to enjoy fresh pears for dessert.
Ingredients:
| 1 1/2 cups gingersnap cookies, crumbled |
| 1/2 cup packed brown sugar |
| 1/4 teaspoon salt |
| 1/4 cup butter, melted |
| 3 fresh pears, halved |
| 1 tablespoon lemon juice |
| vanilla ice cream, for serving |
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350° F
- In a bowl, mix together gingersnap cookie crumbs, brown sugar, salt and melted butter.
- Place half of the crumb mixture into a buttered, 8" round baking dish.
- Arrange pears on the crumb layer, cut side up; sprinkle with lemon juice and remaining crumb mixture.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream.
