World Cheese Award Winner Rogue River Special Reserve Blue Cheese is in stock at Bianchini’s for a limited time only, and in limited quantities. Made annually around the Autumn Equinox near Oregon’s Rogue River, this renowned blue is first wrapped in pear liqueur-soaked Syrah leaves and aged up to 11 months in Rogue Creamery’s aging caves. The long aging process infuses the cheese with notes of fig, vanilla, blackberry and hazelnut along with the distinct “blue” tang. Rather than the typical crumbly texture blue cheeses are known for, Rogue River Blue is remarkably soft and is said to melt on the tongue. If you love blue cheese, you do not miss your chance to bring home this exceptional cheese.

This may come as a surprise to many, October is National Pizza Month!

That’s right, 31 days of delicious pizza exploration! The first record of pizza dates back to 997 A.D. in Southern Italy. Very early pizzas were variations of focaccia bread with toppings or matzah bread with olive oil and cheese. While the pizza that we all know and love today was created around the 19th century in Naples, Italy, with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
