Enjoy a Glass of Red
We have two wine holidays to celebrate and two reasons to stock up for Labor Day Weekend. This Wednesday, August 28th, is National Red Wine Day, and Friday, August 30th, is National Cabernet Sauvignon Day. Red wines come in an array of colors, from deep ruby red, like Syrah and Merlot, to subtle amber, like Pinot Noir and Port. And they run the gamut of dry and bold to sweet and light. Did you know that Cabernet Sauvignon is called the “King of Reds”? Due to the wine’s bold, complex flavor profile and distinctive mouthfeel. Cabernet Sauvignon’s origins are a complete accident, with the unintentional hybridization of Cabernet Franc grapes with Sauvignon Blanc grapes from the Bordeaux region of France and deriving its name from both parent grapes. Let’s raise a glass and celebrate Red Wine Day and Cabernet Sauvignon Day. On your next shopping trip, visit our wine department to pick up a bottle of your favorite red and maybe discover a new varietal. When you buy 6 bottles or more of wine, get 10% OFF!
