Get Creative with Your 4th of July Leftovers
We’ve collected four fantastic post 4th of July recipes that we think you’ll love as much as the fireworks.
5th of July Tacos
Delectable homemade tacos made with leftover hamburger patties.
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 3 cooked burger patties, crumbled
- 1 yellow onion, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 3 tablespoons tomato paste
- salt, to taste
- 8 flour tortillas, warmed
- Grated Monterey Jack cheese, for garnish
- Bianchini’s Signature Salsa, for garnish
- Bianchini’s Signature Guacamole, for garnish
Directions
Pour olive oil into a large skillet. Swirl around to coat. Bring to medium heat. Once olive oil is hot, add crumbled burger patties and yellow onion, cook for about 3 minutes, until onions are golden.
Reduce heat to medium-low and add cloves, coriander, paprika, cumin and tomato paste to skillet. Season with salt and stir together. Cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Spoon seasoned meat mixture into warm tortillas. Garnish with your choice of Monterey Jack cheese, salsa guacamole. Fold in half and enjoy!

Leftover Chicken Chili
Homemade chili with a flash of heat.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 yellow onion, chopped
- 1 can chopped green chili peppers, 4 oz.
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
- 2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 cans cannellini beans, drained, 15 oz. each
- 2 cans chicken broth, 14.5 oz. each
- 2 cups chopped cooked chicken breasts
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
Directions
Pour vegetable oil in to a large saucepan and bring to medium-low heat. Once hot, add onions and cook for about 3 minutes, stirring frequently until tender.
Add green chili pepper, jalapeno peppers, garlic, cayenne, cumin and oregano to the saucepan. Stir together and cook for about 3 minutes.
Add cannellini beans, chicken broth and chopped chicken to the saucepan. Let simmer for 15 minutes while stirring occasionally.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and sprinkle Monterey Jack cheese over top. Stir together until cheese has melted.
Spoon chili into serving bowls and enjoy!

Seasoned Homemade Croutons
Scratch-made with the perfect amount of crunch.
Ingredients
- 4 buns, hamburger or hot dog
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Slice buns into small cubes. Place bread cubes into a mixing bowl. Pour melted butter over top and sprinkle garlic powder, parsley, salt and pepper over top. Toss together until bread cubes are well coated.
Transfer bread cubes to the baking sheet and spread out to evenly space.
Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, until the croutons are lightly toasted.
Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Use a spatula to gently lift croutons from the aluminum foil and then let cool completely.

House Made Red Wine Sangria
Cool, fruity and totally refreshing.
Ingredients
- 750 ml. (3.17 cups) red wine
- 1/2 cup brandy
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 apple, sliced
- 1 cup sliced strawberries
- 1 orange, slices
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 can seltzer water, 12 oz.
Directions
Pour the bottle of red wine into a large pitcher. Pour brandy and orange juice into the pitcher and gently stir together.
Add apple slices, strawberries, orange slices and blueberries to the pitcher and gently stir.
Pour sugar over top and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
Place the pitcher into the refrigerator to chill for at least 2 hours.
When ready to serve, pour sangria into 8 tall glasses. Top off each glass with a spritz of the seltzer water and enjoy!
