Loaded Chili Dog Bake





Serves 8 |
The next level of chili dogs.
Ingredients:
| 2 lb ground beef |
| 1 sweet onion, finely chopped |
| 2 cloves garlic, minced |
| 2 tablespoons chili powder |
| 2 teaspoon sugar |
| 1 teaspoon ground cumin |
| 1 can tomato paste, 6 oz. |
| 1 can diced tomatoes, 14.5 oz. |
| 2 cups beef broth |
| 1/3 cup corn meal |
| Salt, to taste |
| Ground black pepper, to taste |
| 1 lb Kosher hot dogs, sliced |
| 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese, plus more for topping |
| 1 package refrigerated crescent rolls, 8 oz. |
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease a large baking dish with cooking spray.
- Bring a large skillet to medium-high heat. Add ground beef, onions, garlic, chili powder, sugar and cumin. Stir in tomato paste, canned tomatoes, beef broth, corn meal, salt and pepper. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and add sliced hot dogs and shredded cheddar. Pour into prepared baking dish and unroll package of crescent rolls over the top.
- Place in the oven and bake for 20-30 minutes, until golden brown.
- Sprinkle additional shredded cheddar cheese over top and enjoy!
