Hot Turkey and Cheese Sandwich

Serves 4 |
Like a grilled cheese but tastier.
|2 tablespoon minced red onion
|4 tablespoons sour cream
|4 tablespoons Dijon mustard
|1 teaspoon dried thyme
|4 tablespoons butter
|8 slices sourdough bread
|8 slices deli turkey
|4 slices tomato
|4 slices cheddar cheese
- Combine minced onion, sour cream, mustard and thyme in a mixing bowl.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
- Evenly spread mustard mixture over the unbuttered side of 4 slices. Top with 2 slices of turkey, 1 tomato slice and 1 slice of cheddar cheese. Place remaining slices on top, with the butter side up.
- Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add one sandwich. Cook for about 3 minutes per side, until golden brown. Repeat with remaining sandwiches and enjoy!
