Broiled Citrus Glazed Salmon

The right amount of sweet and zesty.

Ingredients:

2 lb salmon fillet
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/3 cup dark brown sugar
2 tablespoons lemon zest
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Directions:

  1. Position oven rack to the top near the broiler. Line a baking sheet pan with aluminum foil and place the salmon on the pan. Brush lemon juice over salmon.
  2. Combine brown sugar, lemon zest, salt and pepper in a mixing bowl. Stir together until well combined. Evenly spread the mixture onto the salmon and allow to sit for 45 minutes.
  3. Turn the oven on to the high broiler setting for 2 minutes. Place the salmon into the oven and broil for 8 minutes. Remove the salmon from the oven and allow to rest, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Serve immediately.
