Hawaiian Ham and Pineapple Kebabs

Tropical taste without the plane ticket.
Ingredients:
1 lb boneless smoked ham, cubed |
3 cups cubed pineapple |
1 green bell pepper, cubed |
1 red onion, cubed |
1/2 cup pineapple juice |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1/2 cup ketchup |
2 teaspoons hot sauce |
1 tablespoon white vinegar |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/4 teaspoon black pepper |
1 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce |
8 skewers, wood or metal |
Directions:
- If you are using wood skewers, soak them in water for 45 minutes beforehand.
- Arrange the ham, pineapple, bell pepper and the onion on the skewers. Set aside.
- Pour the pineapple juice, brown sugar, ketchup, hot sauce, white vinegar, garlic powder, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl. Whisk together until well combined.
- Bring the grill to medium-high heat.
- Place the kebabs on the grill. Brush the kebabs with the glaze. Grill for 4-6 minutes per side, brushing the kebabs with the glaze after each turn.
- Remove the kebabs from the grill. Serve while hot.
